Kuné World - 'The Missing'

Kuné World is an eleven-piece collective made up of ten musicians from all over the world, and one Métis-Canadian. Their sound captures the experience of living in Toronto, the world's most diverse city. Through music, they speak to their roots, even as they envision a pluralistic future.

°³Ü²Ôé’s The Missing is a music and human rights project that seeks to raise awareness about cases of missing people: from Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) to unjustly imprisoned artists and freedom fighters around the world. The forced imprisonment or disappearance of individuals is a global issue that requires global responses. Kuné's unique form of collaboration highlights the connections between different cultures and highlights the specific musicality of each individual musician.

Each song of The Missing focuses on a different person who has gone missing, with the hope that the spotlight from this arts project will help release political prisoners and locate those who are missing. "The Missing" is a collaboration between Kuné and GRAMMY-nominated producer and journalist, Dan Rosenberg.
