Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra at The Isabel
7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra & Fortepianist Kristian Bezuidenhout - MOZART’S PIANO
Kristian Bezuidenhout,
Guest Director and Fortepianist
This series opens with a stunning concert by Tafelmusik, showcasing its classical personality and performing with one of the greatest musicians in the field. De Telegraaf pronounces fortepianist Kristian Bezuidenhout as “MOZART REINCARNATED”, and The London Times describes him as “the most brilliant of today’s fortepiano players.” Mozart uses all the colours of the fortepiano in his Concerto for Piano in A Major to make his music at one moment dramatic and percussive, and the next shimmering and crystalline. Energy abounds as the remarkable Tafelmusik orchestra performs Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, and the dynamic symphonies by two of Mozart’s mentors, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Johann Christoph Bach.
