Join Queen’s researchers, students, and alumni at Studio Bell in Calgary for two evenings of conversation and curiosity around the future of Canada's energy sector. From climate crossroads to tech frontiers, we’ll explore how Canada’s energy landscape is being shaped by global forces and bold ideas.

Whether you’re an energy expert or just curious, this is your chance to connect, think big — and enjoy some seriously good food and drink along the way.

Night 1 – Wednesday, May 28 

• 5:30 pm – Doors open (registration and light refreshments)
• 6 pm – TED-style talks from leading Queen’s researchers
• 7:15 pm – Connect with speakers and fellow alumni 

Night 2 – Thursday, May 29

• 5:30 pm – Doors open (food stations, cash bar, and free tours of Studio Bell)
• 7 pm – Fireside chat with Queen’s researchers, alumni and students
• 8:15 pm – More connection, conversation, and community

Speakers

Professor and Distinguished Teaching Fellow in International Business at Smith School of Business. Known for his work on the geopolitical and economic impacts of Canada's oil and gas sector. 

Dr. Warren Mabee  

Professor and director of Queen’s School of Policy Studies. His research focuses on the intersection of technology, policy, and energy systems.  

Civil engineering professor at Queen’s who specializes in multiple areas, including climate-resilient infrastructure.

President and CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. Her background includes a chancellorship at the University of Calgary and more than two decades as a business columnist at CBC, The Globe and Mail, and elsewhere.
